We have a few basic recommendations.

• 1) Create and maintain your site on your local computer exactly as you wish it to appear on your web site. The sub-directory structure is particularly important.
• Example; Make a directory c:\mysite.
  
• 2) Make sub-directories c:\mysite\images, c:\mysite\cgi-bin, etc.

• 3) Put your index.html document in the c:\mysite directory. In that document, be sure to refer to all images as" images/whatever.gif"

NOTE; When referring to sub directories, be sure to use front slashes -> / NOT backslashes -. \ !! Otherwise, when you upload your files to the server your links will not work correctly!
